FLU VACCINATION CAMPAIGN 2020 UPDATE - NOVEMBER 2020
Our Flu Vaccination campaign is now well underway. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we will only be able to operate clinics with booked appointment slots, meaning only patients with an appointment will be allowed into the surgery premises during these clinics
We have held some clinics over the last two months and have received some very positive patient feedback from those who attended. It is paramount that we keep both patients and our staff safe, by adhering to COVID-19 guidelines at all times
BOOKABLE APPOINTMENTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE FOR OUR PATIENTS, WHO FALL INTO THE FOLLOWING TWO CATEGORIES:
Over 65 years of age
Under 65 years of age, in the at risk groups

Updated 20/11/2020 - In addition to the above groups, if you are aged between 50 - 64 years and have not yet had a flu vaccination, please contact our Reception Team to make an appointment

Dispensary - Change in Opening Times
Please see attached notice regarding a temporary change in Dispensary opening hours until further notice.
Revised Dispensary Opening Hours
Due to the current Coronavirus situation, it is taking us longer to process prescription orders. We therefore, ask that you give us up to 5 days notice, between ordering and collecting your medications.
Increased Prescription Charges - Effective from 1st April 2020
- Prescription (per item) £9.15
- 3-month prepayment certificate (PPC): £29.65
- 12-month prepayment certificate (PPC): £105.90

Patient Requests for Hospital Appointments
What to do if your condition has deteriorated, and you are waiting for a hospital appointment about this.
Unfortunately, due to COVID, hospital waiting times for procedures and appointments have increased.
If you are waiting for a procedure or appointment at the hospital please do not contact the surgery about this, as we do not have access to the hospital appointment or waiting list system.
If your condition has worsened please contact the outpatient department to enquire when your appointment will be. The numbers are as below:

If you feel that your symptoms are more severe and that the appointment time is too long, then please contact the specialist’s secretary to and ask the specialist secretary to request that the specialist review your referral in light of your new symptoms. The number and email for the specialist secretary should be on the correspondence which you have received from them.

Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment (please ask at reception for access details to enable use of the on-line services through the Patient Access link).
